Mission
ChasingCancer is dedicated to follow the progress of cancer research and present it in informal dialect for both scientific and non-scientific community. I hope that an easy to follow synopsis of the latest advancements in cancer will help researchers be up to date with the literature. At the same time I also strive to increase cancer awareness among non-academic audience.
Shishir Pant
Shishir completed his Master’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology and is now pursuing his Ph.D. in the Klefstrom research group at the University of Helsinki. His research focuses on the role of the microenvironment in tumor progression, metastasis, and immune evasion. He is particularly interested in developing novel therapeutic agents to disrupt the interplay between tumor cells and the microenvironment.
Apart from research, Shishir is very enthusiastic about science communications. He is the founder of ChasingCancer and also works as a scientific writer for acir.org (Accelerating cancer immunotherapy research). Shishir is actively working on dissepating the scientific finding to non-academic audience, he was co-organizer of TEDxHelsinkiUniversity 2018/19 and won the third prize on eucancerchallenge.
